Leave Elanda Pt and aim for 11 hr (40 - 50 km) round trip by heading upstream for ~5.5 hrs, turn around & come downstream 1.5 hrs & find a spot to camp. Next day do the return 4 hrs paddle. This would get us back in Bne by mid afternoon on the Sun.
This is a group for keener-than-mustard types, experienced in multi-day off-trail trekking, whatever the season. We crack a fair pace and regularly cover 20+ km per day over rugged & steep terrain.
If you just have to get out this weekend and aren't satisfied unless you arrive home the following day feeling beat-up....then welcome.
If you have done some great local walks, schedule it and show others why you enjoy it.
Additionally, kayaking daytrips and overnighters are gaining in popularity within the group. The kayaks are tourers & sea kayaks and do at least 5+ km/h. The trips tend to be 3+ hours of paddling per day.
