Bushcrafting, Survival & Tracking PDX Pages

This group was originally started and successfully run by a gentleman named Alex. It was called "Survival and Tracking." He stepped down as organizer and three highly motivated and fun loving outdoors people decided to take over. (Insert Wayne, Hauie and Dariusz)

  • (Why take over?) Considering there don't seem to be many groups here in the Portland area that are dedicated to outdoors trips with a bushcrafting theme, we are excited to build it up as such. Of course survival and tracking techniques are a definite aspects of bushcrafting, so we kept that in the title and description.
  • (What do you want this group to be?) We really want to get some collaborative learning and skill sharing going, so we have opened it up for some of our members to run their own Meetups through this group.
  • (What do you want from the members?) If you have an idea and want to get something going let us know. This sort of energy and motivation really excites us for this group is as much yours as it is ours.
  • (How do I get started?) Well, first you would need to get involved and come out to some of our Meetups. We also recommend that you start building up your gear. There are many variations and gear builds all based upon your preferences for traditional style, military surplus, or modern equipment. Please check out some of the links to get some ideas and direction for your gear purchases.

Thank you so much for coming here and checking us out. We really look forward to seeing you at some of our Meetups!!!!
