I liked it. I've been to different figure drawing sessions and this one so far is better than the Bunny Cutlet Gallery, the Otto's Shrunken Head, and the Two Moon Cafe, for a couple of reasons. First, they have actual drawing tables and easels set up for use. I enjoyed being able to stand in front of an easel holding my newsprint pad and draw that way as opposed to having to sit in a chair or bench and draw with the pad on my lap or balanced on my knee. Second, they did several 10, 15, and a long pose at the end that was 20 minutes, break, 20 minutes, same pose, really giving you a chance to study the model and figure out where you went wrong (for me at least). Also, the location is closest to my place in Brooklyn, so it did not require traveling far. And they play good music. The other figure drawing meetups are great too, this one was just better to me for the aforementioned reasons. And its on a Friday night so I can go and drink and not worry about working the next day.

Cool, man. Thanks for the nice review. Hopefully, some of the other venues will take note of why we are a success and try to emulate. We shut down in 4 weeks because I want to focus on making paintings, not because we have not been packed.
