New setting and an introduction

To all the members of the Bushwick Figure Drawing,

As you have probably heard by now, Erin and I are moving the Bushwick Figure Drawing Group to a new location: The Teaching Studios of Art in Bushwick. It's in the same building as before, the same floor, but in a larger space with more easels and side tables for each artist. We will also be limiting the group size to 12 artists at a time, to give everyone maximum elbow room. The price will stay the same.

While I am going to run the group very similar to the great format Erin created,  I thought I should write a brief note to introduce myself and the school. I am a graduate of the New York Academy of Art and of the Water Street Atelier. I founded the Teaching Studios of Art a year and a half ago, out in Oyster Bay-Long Island and in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
I love the figure and landscape, and those genres are the major focus of my art.

If interested, here are two sites to familiarize you with me and the school:

This group will meet on Monday nights and keep it's uninstructed format and price, $15 per session. Artists should follow their own muse, any and all styles are welcome. However, you should know that I do lead an instructed Meetup group in the same space on Tuesday nights. The main focus of that group is anatomical construction of the figure, and traditional drawing and painting techniques, and costs $35 per session. If interested, you can find out more here:

I hope you enjoy the new setting and a chance to get back into serious figure drawing. Our first meeting next Monday, so come join us.
