Tired of being told "no, we don't want you to work for us," so now I'm trying to get a few of my ideas together to strike out on my own and make my own way through the world.
I used to teach, play a little in real estate and have done a lot of volunteer work. Although in many (far more important) respects, I've had a fairly fulfilling life, I still dream of a decent income and doing something I truly enjoy. Over the last year or so, I've been refining a business plan to engage in the pursuit of a life-long interest, and I want to try and get production up and going before the end of the year in some capacity. Portions have focused on my main product line, but I'm also looking at some other methods of entering the market, either through acquisition of another small company with a track record, or beginning the manufacture of another product that would be less capital-intensive. Ultimately, I'd like to get more ideas, some feedback and possibly make some conntections to investors or other sources of capital and contracting companies.
Hi Charlie welcome to our group. Look forward to meeting you. Hopefully we can help with the whole shy thing :). Hopefully there will be events that fit your style.

Hi Charlie, welcome to One Single Thing! So glad you're here. We're working diligently on the details, but we know for certain our first event will be Friday evening, July 26th, so mark your calendar!
Charlie, the AE Candidate site has opened and we can begin "supporting" candidates. Candidates need 1000 supporters in 10 states to move on. Please consider supporting Buddy on the AE site
Welcome to single hang out group!
Summer is here, lets enjoy it together! If you think of doing something in the area, let me know and I will put it in the calendar.
Have a great weekend!
Charlie: I have a portfolio on photo.net . Most of the shots were taken with film and scanned with a Nikon LS-2000 scanner. I also have a digital SLR I use once in a while.
We want to support film photographers who want to stay with film. Some of our members are expert black and white photographers and developers. Not many people are developing and printing color prints the old "wet darkroom" way. We would love to see some of your work at our next meeting, Jan 19th in Attleboro at 7 PM. I can email you directions if you're interested. Feel free to email us with any questions.
