Greetings Everyone from Beautiful St. Maarten!!!
I am taking a break from the beautiful sunshine and wanted to summarize the results of our last meeting on February 28th…. We took a vote and the majority of the members wanted to stay with the original schedule of meeting on the 2nd and 4thThursdays of the month. Some members do belong to another networking event on alternating Thursdays which would be a conflict for them.
However, we have decided to hold a few evening networking events in the future. More to be discussed about this at a later date!
Tony Goes of GizmoNet has made up a schedule which he will send to all members with dates on when to do your presentation. There will be another list with a list of dates to do your one on ones. Thank you Tony for organizing this for me!!!
Dan Splaine will be sending you a questionnaire on social media. Please take the time to fill it out and get it back to him.
It was decided at our last meeting we will keep our “elevator speech”to 2 minutes as we have been doing. During the 2 minutes, you can discuss whatever you like about your business. That 2 minutes is yours to discuss whatever you like about your business. During the 2 minutes, please let the group know what you learned about the 2 members you conducted your one on ones with during the 2 previous weeks.
Thank you so much Bob Vear for your great presentation…we learned so much about what you do and how we can help you. Your exercises you played with us was so much fun and informative. Great job!!!!
I would like to share some input from Joseph Ntgengeri of Community Partners for Change...... “Here is how I have benefited from the network since joining as a member. As a new member I felt very welcome, the setup was more relaxed compared to other business network groups. The first benefit came from Donna McDonough, she took time from her very busy schedule to assist me with our vendor application process with NH Vocational Rehabilitation, CPC was able to obtain approval and we're currently providing services to NH Vocational Rehabilitation consumers. Eric Brand of P & L Landscaping was kind enough to introduce me to three very important individuals (Brian Collins, Executive Director, Region 9, Dennis Powers, Chief Executive Officer, Region 10 and Sandra Pelletier, Executive Director, Region 6) who are heads of three vital regions that coordinate services for people with disabilities. The introduction has allowed me the opportunity to meet with their senior staff to and shares our experience, the type of services we provide and how think Community Partners for Change could complement their effort/the services they offer........ Recently, John McDonough volunteered to assist us with our new book keeping setup (QuickBooks) following a simple inquiry about his experience with QuickBooks. Finally, in a response to Daniel Splaine of Test of Time Photography about some of the issues we are currently experiencing with our website, following a brief conversation, Dan offered to assist us with our new website. Thanks to Donna, Eric, Dan.”
Thank you Joseph for a great testimonial to our networking group!
We are trying to adapt the group to conform to the needs of the members instead of making the members conform to a networking group which has rigid rules.
Rachel McMeen of Front Door Agency will be facilitating our next meeting on March 14th at Leda Lanes. Thanks Rachel!!
I have heard from Tom Bibeault of Floral Arts Design. He has decided not to renew his membership with BSB. Tony, we will have to change the one on one formats and presentation to accommodate this change.
Well, my fellow members, it is time to head out for some more sun and fun. I will see you all at our meeting on March 28th!
