From hard-charging combat, hockey and sumo bots to amazing androids, art bots, automatons and much more, RoboGames 2012 pits competitors from more than 35 countries against each other in 50 different technological and mechanical match-ups, not unlike the recent hit movie Real Steel. This ninth annual world championship of all things robotic showcases these creations in almost every conceivable form, ranging from nano to 220-pound jumbo, and has been deemed the "World's Largest Robot Competition" by the Guinness Book of World Records and one of the "Best Ten North American Geek Fests" by Wired. In addition to watching the events, Fans can compete in them as well through a separate registration process. Whether you decided to participate or not, the whole family will enjoy cheering on their favorite bots in dog soccer, kung-fu, weightlifting, bartending, painting and more.
