Buttonwood Bazaar Brainstorming Session

I would like to announce the planning of the first Buttonwood Bazaar! This meetup is now 240 members strong, and I would like to plan an open air trading event where people can bring their goods and skills to market and trade them for cryptocurrencies. Part farmers market, part flea market, and part trading floor, the Buttonwood Bazaar will bring out the best of what the members of Buttonwood SF have to offer to the open market.

If this interests you, please attend this week's Buttonwood SF meetup at the usual Metreon food court location so we can have a group brainstorming session. I've never organized an event in this city, much less an open air market, and certainly couldn't do it alone so I will need all the help I can get! Even if you can't attend the meetup this Thursday, please RSVP to show your interest in attending a Buttonwood Bazaar so I can gauge the interest of the group. We'll likely still forge ahead even without a high number of RSVPs but it will still be helpful to have the feedback and encouragement of Buttonwood SF members.

Official hashtag for Twitter / Diaspora / Facebook is #ButtonwoodSF. You can use this to coordinate trades online and promote the meetup.

Ground rules:

1. No force.

2. No fraud.

3. No coercion.

4. Have fun!

Thanks to everyone who attended and participated in the Buttonwood Bazaar Brainstorming Session! We had a lot of good ideas added to the pot. If anyone has any more idea about possible venues - the criteria is accessible, flat ground, free / inexpensive in price, and in SF - please leave a comment or send me a message through meetup. I'll be sending out a poll once I've narrowed it down so I can get a feel for which location the group likes best. Thanks again!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
