A Great "C" Ride!
Roll by 9:15ish
This is a beautiful 50 mile route for the C riders to get their speed on without hills to contend with. We will enjoy a residential route through the cities of Orange, Garden Grove, and Fountain Valley before we cruise unto PCH at Huntington Beach and make our way up to Seal Beach.
Catching our breath, we will take a casual cruise up historical Electric Avenue which was once a trolley thoroughfare with the red car still displayed there on the greenbelt centre. Our route will take us over the SGRT and around the Alamitos Bay Marina before we begin our trek back. We will also make a coffee break along our return.
For those that have done this ride with me previously, I have created a slightly different return to avoid the construction zone on Seal Beach Blvd @ the 405 fwy (sigh of relief).
You can expect a cruising speed of 16/17 mph for this ride.

Good to see you all. Sorry I couldn't keep up with you C riders. I missed a turn and ended up doing 51 miles and got back to my car at 2:50. Thanks for putting this together. You inspire me to get out there.

A fun, scenic, well-attended ride today! I love riding along PCH with all the water, sand, and fellow cyclists! Today's weather was spectacular considering 2 days ago it was raining cats and dogs! Todd, is was great to see you after so long, and awesome to see everyone who attended. Social time afterwards was terrific as always! Much thanks to our BOBie photographers, Oscar and Rick!

If been off the bike for almost 2 weeks and getting serious withdrawals and all this junk, comfort, stress relieving food isn't helping. I need to ride so bad!

We might stop at THE RIVERS END for a quick beverage and a beautiful, breathtaking, unobstructed view of the oceanfront either on our way out or on the return. For post ride chat and lunch, there is a Wendy's at Chapman/City Drive. Open to other ideas :)

Although there is no rain forecast for the weekend (other than Friday), we are having some thick morning marine layer. So, stay tuned, I will probably move our start time to 9 or 10am. Guess its only March, right? LOL
