This 24 mile ride is designed to test our mettle and build leg strength all within the confines of our local roads. Expect an overall average of 12-14 mph at ride's end.

Speed Rating: B overall, lots will done at much less (hills)
Terrain: Oh, let's call it a 3+. There are four climbs more than a mile long each, a couple steep pitches, and some rollers. Nothing like GMR but enough for a good climbing workout, unless your name is Pantani.
Please note it measures out to be 24.0 miles and we have three (3) hours to finish before the gloom of night takes us. Now, should we have legs enough to finish before dusk there are optional hills we can enjoy.
This is a great ride to test your self and with some repetition you will see a great improvement of your climbing fitness. Plus, as Keith reminds us, climbing helps build your speed on the flats as a side bonus. As always, we regroup when necessary to keep our group together. We never leave or abandon our riders because there are real vultures around here to pick off the slowest among us. :) Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides.
