1039 East Imperial Highway, Brea, CA
Ride classification: B+/A-
Terrain: 2-3. Mostly rolling hills or flat, but a few respectable climbs.
This is not a beginner ride. You should have ridden a distance of at least 60 miles recently at a solid/consistent effort.
(If you have any questions I encourage you to email me).
Here is the Garmin data from the last time I rode this route:
Shooting for about a 16 mph average pace. If possible.
This will probably be about 5 hours riding time, close to 6 hours total time. Bring food and water! Also, at about 11 am we should reach the Newport Back Bay area and there is a convenience mart where we can take a break and buy some food/drinks, so bring a little cash. Sunscreen would be a good idea, too.
Please be a bit early as the posted MeetUp time is Clipped in roll out time.
If you are unsure call or text me 1 hour before the roll out time. My number is listed in the RSVP section when you signed up for this ride.
Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides. Bring hydration, spare tube, nutrition and appropriate clothing to be comfortable during the entire ride. (The weather can and will change during the ride.)
Be sure to have Sun Screen for HOT or SUNNY days.
If there is FOG, DRIZZLE or MIST (OR any other extreme weather!) Unless otherwise noted PLEASE check back on this site 60 to 90 minutes prior to our scheduled roll out time. I will strive to text all the people I have cell phone numbers for if any ride will be canceled.
If this causes you to cancel 1 hour or LESS before the scheduled MeetUp time PLEASE CALL or TEXT (my contact info is in the RSVP question section below) me to avoid frustration and delays!
Please bring Emergency ID (we wear Road ID) and a cell phone is recommended!
Look for my blue MINI Cooper with the roof rack on top. I'm riding a Blue AC1 racing bike that is red, white and black in color.
If I DO NOT already have your contact #s how can I contact you with last minute updates? (Heck stuff happens in our lives too)
As a courtesy if you must cancel last minute please call my cell (909) 802-4643.
Head winds have been been known to increase the difficulty of this ride.
This is a no drop ride, but please keep in mind that it is not a beginner's ride.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
