Join us from the Chino Flats to rolling through Butterfield Ranch!

This 27 mile ride is designed to introduce some gentle rollers to our normal flat route. Expect an overall average of 12-14 mph at ride's end.

Route Description:

20 scenic miles to earn you a good workout! 9 flat miles - Nice Warm Up!
South on Euclid - pick up speed!
Euclid over Fwy near Prado Park (scenic distracts uphill work)
Butterfield Ranch - gentle rollers & incredible clear views
Climb Soquel Canyon to Pipeline
Pipeline to Bayberry (to Peyton or up Rolling Ridge to CHP)
Village Drive to Grand Ave - nice scenic side street
Grand Ave to Peyton
Eucalyptus back to Mc D's
Extended ride ..... drop off 27 mile group, continue on to Chino Ave (long climb, good leg burn) to Chino Hills Pkwy (the view is worth the pain)
Chino Hills Pkwy, decent and climb back to Eucalyptus up & over ending back at Mc D's

This is a great ride to push your limits, and over time, you will see a great improvement of your cycling skills! Come on out!Â Total elevation gain of 728 ft.

Everyone's ability to get through rollers will be different.Â As always, we regroup when necessary to keep our group together.Â We never leave or abandon our riders!Â Helmets are mandatory on all BOBie rides. WELCOME TO GROUP CYCLING!

Butts on Bikes Inland Empire (BOBie's) cycling group is based in Southern California 's beautiful Inland Empire. We are road cycling enthusiasts* who enjoy local and remote bicycle rides that are both fun and challenging. Our group is a blend of casual to intermediate riders, riding for fitness, fun, friendship, food (sometimes), and personal improvement.

*Enthusiasts: not a club, team, training clinic, or racers. Road bikes including tandems & recumbents are welcome.

OUR RIDES

Our rides are quite varied and are typically 20-70 miles in distance, with the occasional 80-100 mile rides.

Heading out to Carbon Canyon ! ------->

We typically ride from Chino or Chino Hills, but also neighboring areas such as the foothill communities of Claremont, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, as well as Diamond Bar, Riverside, San Dimas, La Verne, Glendora, Covina, Duarte, Monrovia, to name a few.

Our REMOTE RIDES take us out to areas such as Irvine , Laguna Beach , Newport Beach , and south to Oceanside/San Diego.

<--------We also offer a paceline drill during the long days of the year (Thursdays @ 6p.m.)

Our BOBie cycling group is led with a passion for cycling and the enjoyment of sharing it with others. We encourage our members to not only participate in the rides, but take an interest in helping us build our group by hosting or leading rides. Let us know if you are interested in joining our leadership team.

Keith, having shed 100lbs in 2007, keeps himself in shape with his passion for cycling. He constantly challenges himself as well as anyone else who cares to join him. He enjoys good long & fast-paced rides, climbs, and sharing his knowledge with others. Keith is thankful for those who have reached out to mentor him.

Janet, shed 55lbs in 2007. She severely injured her back at home that same year. Janet's recovery involved the healing effects of cycling and aquatics fitness. Recovering from back surgery in the summer of 2011 sidelined Janet's love of cycling for awhile.

As of October 2011, Janet is back to enjoying ride route exploration, mid-week morning rides, leading moderate rides up to 40 miles, and creating and nuturing wonderful cycling friendships, and growing this exciting cycling group.

Keith and Janet rode over 150 miles in Holland, Netherlands where their love for cycling was ignited. They embrace those cyclists who have also fallen in love with the feel of the open road, wind in the face, sun over their shoulders, and smiles that just won’t fade.
