Hey guys, Jairus here from Temecula Velo. I appreciate the updates on the two gals. My heart and prayers are on those two gals! May God be with Janet and Carols' speedy healthy recovery! It wad a good day today here at Temecula Valley Century! Only a couple minor road rash crashes. Everyone had a good time. For Janet/Carol who lost her Rudy Project Rx glasses and helmet, if they are lost and not found, I can give her up to 50% discount code to Rudy Project glasses, helmet and other accessories she might have lost. Pls have her or her family contact me so I can give that to her. They will be in my heart and prayers.

Teri and all,
Janet is resting but will the next few days will be painful.
If anyone that was on that ill fated ride has any of Janet's OR Carol's belongings can you please let me know. I understand that Carol is in search of her wallet and Janet is missing her Rudy Project Rx sunglasses and helmet. (We will be getting her a new helmet but the mirror may still be okay.
We had a tough day today with two of our gals crashing. Janet and Carol both crashed on Bonita Canyon Dr just before reaching Mac Arthur in Irvine. The two may have touched wheels and went down hard. Both were taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana via ambulance. Carol was released but Janet will be spending the night for observation. I do not have any further information regarding Carol's condition. I am assuming that they fully checked her out since they released her. Per Keith, Janet has a cracked rib and sternum and a partially collapsed lung. After returning to my vehicle I went to the hospital and was able to visit her for a short while. Our gal is pretty banged up. I'm sure Keith will give us an update in the next day or so. Please keep them all in prayer.
They were both so lucky, it could have been worse since they were both in a traffic lane. There was a motorist that was behind them, he/she stopped and blocked traffic and the most amazing thing of all, there was a doctor close by who stopped and helped until the Paramedics arrived. All of the 1st responders were great. They were there in no time. Seemed like only 5 minutes. Some of the guys were keeping traffic abay until the police arrived. Thanks guys.
Thank you to Sylvia for staying w/me, Janet & Carol's bikes and to Nancy & Mike B. for coming back with their cars and getting us back to our vehicles in Anaheim.

Keith, having shed 100lbs in 2007, keeps himself in shape with his passion for cycling. He constantly challenges himself as well as anyone else who cares to join him. He enjoys good long & fast-paced rides, climbs, and sharing his knowledge with others. Keith is thankful for those who have reached out to mentor him.
Janet, shed 55lbs in 2007. She severely injured her back at home that same year. Janet's recovery involved the healing effects of cycling and aquatics fitness. Recovering from back surgery in the summer of 2011 sidelined Janet's love of cycling for awhile.
As of October 2011, Janet is back to enjoying ride route exploration, mid-week morning rides, leading moderate rides up to 40 miles, and creating and nuturing wonderful cycling friendships, and growing this exciting cycling group.
Keith and Janet rode over 150 miles in Holland, Netherlands where their love for cycling was ignited. They embrace those cyclists who have also fallen in love with the feel of the open road, wind in the face, sun over their shoulders, and smiles that just won’t fade.
