Bokeh in the Bog

If you're into nature photography and don't mind hiking a little, why don't we explore the Jackson Bog just north of Massillon? Bet there are some great macro shots in there, too. Opinions??

Let's meet in the parking lot next to the ball field and picnic shelter. If rain is pending, this photographer will not be there.  I was down in there when a storm blew up and hustling up out with heavy equipment was NOT fun.

Didn't mean to forget you, Wayne! I'm very interested to see your work, as I am with everyone else . I can tell already you're far more trained and practiced than I and look forward to absorbing some of your knowledge.

Nice meeting you Russ, Joan and Wayne. Next time I will wear more bug spray. This place will probably be beautiful when the leaves change.

Am I at the wrong place? Picnic pavilion behind lake/fountain? 20 after and no ones here.

    Local directions
Located in Stark County, 2 miles north of Massillon on Fulton Drive and .5 mile west of the intersection of SR 687 and SR 241. The preserve is adjacent to Jackson Township Park.

Make sure if its just rained you are wearing shoes that can get a bit muddy. I would suggest early morning when there is a high change of mist covering the ground...
