Let's talk Ruby in Cambridge

Let's talk Ruby in Cambridge

Join us on Feb 28th for the first meetup of the Cambridge Ruby User Group! Let’s meet up, get to know each other, and together we can best decide how to make the user group a valuable experience.

Feel free to show off what you’re up to in Ruby! Don’t worry if you don’t know Ruby yet: there are few better places to start learning than a user group.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

The Regal's quite a big pub... how will we find each other?

That's a good question. =) I've booked a table in my name "Simão Castro", probably "Castro" will be enough. I'll post something here when we are seated, with directions!

We used to have a regular Ruby meetup at a pub. I think it was mainly instigated by Hampton Catlin and it stopped happening after he left Cambridge. Be good to have a new one. You'll find the old Google Group here: https://groups.google.com/forum/...

Oh, that's good to know! Was any of the venues you used particularly good?

We just went to the pub, usually The Flying Pig as it was near Hampton's flat! Are you thinking about doing talks or just meeting up socially? I guess the latter for the first meeting. If we want dedicated space I guess CB2 could accommodate us upstairs, or The Emperor on Hills Rd has an upstairs room. All Bar One or The Castle on Castle Hill also have a fair bit of space as pubs go.
