Three very important, items:


1) Phoenix City Council Meeting to discuss the recent (and improved) recommendations by the Zoning Board. This is your opportunity to support the improvements. The Zoning Board decided to NOT require the expensive and time-consuming requirement for dispensaries to obtain conditional use permits. A strong show of support for that is necessary to prevent the City Council's medical marijuana opponents from reinstating that or other odious requirements.

2) Next meeting to combine the Arizona Association of Dispensaries and Arizona Medical Marijuana Association. For prospective dispensary owners, lawyers, and doctors:

3) Several cannabis businesses are being attacked by "squatters," scam artists trying to extort money by squatting on variations of our business names. Be aware of this and protect yourself against such attacks. I suggest that we address this at our meeting on Saturday, perhaps referring these matters to one or more of our Association attorneys. One of our group also has expertise on USPTO filings and he has volunteered to inform us at Saturday's Association meeting.
