Just a reminder that it's almost time for the June CASIE Speakeasy. We always meet on the first Wednesday of the month. Our Wednesday, June 6 session will showcase the Amharic language. Blaine Sergew, a native Amharic speaker, will be your Speakeasy instructor. CASIE is thrilled to offer this Semitic language spoken in Ethiopia for our May session. Amharic is the official language of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian immigrant communities all over the world and is spoken by some 18.7 million people. Blaine guarantees the CASIE Speakeasy of an evening of interactive, exciting, and high energy teaching. Parking can be found on the street in front of the CASIE white house on North Fulton or in the back. All spaces there are available.
At the moment, all 23 slots are filled, and there is a waiting list of around 10 people. We will have a full house. If you have responded yes, but change your mind, please change your status so others on the waiting list can attend. 23 is our logistical limit. I'm also seeking future Speakeasy sessions in various languages. If you have any recommendations of languages or know someone who might be interested in teaching a CASIE Speakeasy session, please let me know. john |
