Hello Scribblers!
I hope you all are keeping warm this cold Monday morning.
We have two workshops already scheduled for next year.

Kickstarting Your Writing Career Workshop
A new year means another new start for your writing career.

In this workshop, we hope to answer questions about writing/publishing to help you find the “write path” towards achieving your writing dreams.
We'll help you map out your writing career by clarifying your writing visions, setting your writing goals for the year, and mapping out a three year career plan.
If you’ve always wanted to write, but don’t know where to start, if you’re stuck in a writing rut or want to rekindle your passion for writing, or if you’re serious about getting published but don’t know much about the industry, this workshop will be of great help to you.
We’ll have worksheets, handouts and writing exercises to help you get started on whatever writing path you wish to travel.

Honing Your Middle Grade Writing Voice: A Workshop with Author Kristen Kittscher
Editors, agents, and readers often cite “voice” as what draws them to an author’s work. But how do writers cultivate this elusive quality, especially when writing for children?
In this hands-on workshop with middle grade mystery author Kristen Kittscher, participants will investigate the ingredients that go into creating an authentic, compelling middle grade voice and learn techniques for channeling their own inner tweens. Attendees should come prepared to write!

Her debut novel The Wig in the Window, the first in a new mystery series from HarperCollins Children’s Books, comes out June 18, 2013
