Hello Scribblers!
We just got a wonderful invite from Author and Bookseller Catherine Linka and her former Editor Mollie Traver.
They are going to have a talk on Getting it Published: An Author and Editor Talk About Their Journey From First Draft to First Print.
The event is FREE and I encourage you all to attend as I'm sure you will learn lots of things about the Publishing Industry from this Author-Editor duo.
Date: Thursday, June 12, 7:30 PM
Venue: Mysterious Galaxy Redondo Beach
Presenters: Catherine Linka, author of A Girl Called Fearless, and Mollie Traver, former editor at St. Martin's Press
Author Catherine Linka and her former editor Mollie Traver  are going to be talking about what they went through to get A Girl Called Fearless through the acquisition process at St. Martin's Press, but more importantly, they'll offer insights and guidance about what writers can do to help their manuscripts on the journey to publication.
Many writers (even those with publishing contracts) are unaware of how internal politics and financial decisions affect these purchasing decisions. Catherine and Mollie hope to shine a light on strategies they used to overcome these challenges and to offer guidance for writers hoping to be published.
Hope to see you there,
Nutschell
