There are a couple of online forums that are helpful in figuring out what to buy:

There are three common sizes, soprano or standard (small), concert (medium) and tenor (larger). There is also a baritone (even bigger) but it's tuned differently and not usually chosen as a starter uke. The soprano is the traditional size but most players seem to gravitate towards the concert or tenor sizes. The Strum Shop in Roseville is another good place to buy. Both stores will give you good advice.

Kline music. Try out different ones, the one that "speaks" to you, buy. I suggest that you don't spend tons of $$$ on your 1st one.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
