Ukulele Festival of Northern California

The 20th Ukulele Festival of Northern California in Hayward is the longest running ukulele festival on the mainland. This local event has attracted ukulele enthusiasts from British Columbia (Canada), to North Carolina, to the Islands of Hawai'i, as well as local talent throughout California.  Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance and $15 at the event. To purchase them and for more information on the Festival, visit http://www.ukulelefestivalnorcal.org/index.htm.

For those who want to carpool from Sacramento, we will be meeting at Ted's mother's house at 9:00 AM. The address is 1175 Volz Drive. From I-5 take the Sutterville Exit, make a right on Land Park Drive, at the bottom of the hill, make a right turn on Volz Drive.

It was a lot of fun and was great that we could see the Fong kids perform in Berkeley - the best performance of the day!

I'm assuming that we'll want to bring our ukes. I've never been to a uke festival so can someone confirm?

    I'm looking forward to this.

Let me know if drivers are needed. My 2012 Volvo sits 3 plus me with Bluetooth audio and cup holders for all. Our daughter required plenty of cup holders as we all love our am coffee.

I've talked it over with Ted and, given the expense of the bus and the relatively short planning horizon, we've decided to carpool this year. Since it's on a Sunday, we won't be able to park at the church so we'll be announcing a meeting place at a later date.

Please RSVP along with whether or not you can drive and how many passengers you can take. I have room for five plus me. If needed, we can also designate a Davis meeting spot so let us know if you'd be interested in that.

I can drive my pickup and easily take three passengers. Could take four, but one needs to be smaller and take the middle of the back seat.
