Event 706: Spanish Card Games at Caribou Coffee in Westlake

As always, we are happy to teach new players, so if you do not yet know any of these games, come on out and learn. Nearly everyone in the group learned these games after joining the group, so you are definitely not alone!

To date, we have learned a total of five Spanish card games:

  • Tute (2-4 players)
  • Mus (4 players)
  • Escoba (2-4 players)
  • Brisca (2-4 players)
  • Tresillo (3 -4 players)

Tonight we will play whichever of them fits our number of attendees and/or is in most demand. There is always the possibility of playing more than one!

Was initially disappointed in the low number in attendance tonight, but had such a great time playing Brisca that the time flew by very quickly. Finished the night off with a few hands of Escoba, then back out into the cold we went. Thank you, Melissa and Tom, for coming out to play!

Looks like a small group this week while everyone recovers from the holiday! As long as we have at least two players, we will still meet, since there are several very fun Spanish games for two! Of course, there are always more choices when we have a bigger group, but we will be fine either way. See you there!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
