This meetup happens Tue, Wed, Thur, and Fri from 6-7pm and Saturday 10-11am.
Exercising and increasing our capacity to be calm, relaxed and observant within the present moment has far reaching effects for our lives. We gradually become better learners, more in control of ourselves, more healthy, and more at peace.
This meetup is about having a devoted hour to develop this ability to live in the moment free from the confines of our mind's endless train of thought. We will start it off with a 10-15 minute mindfulness meditation so we can 'shift gears' internally before heading out for the short, non-strenuous walk. During the slower-paced walk, we'll concentrate on staying relaxed, seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling everything, and simultaneously seeing what is happening within us.
We will start sharply on time and end no later than the next hour.
We'll meet on the grassy field under some trees down past the bathrooms, just before the start of the trails [map coordinates are above].
