Skepticamp DC

We are please to announce that our 2012 event will be: Saturday, September 22, 2012 Prince George Room Stamp Student Union University of Maryland, College Park [Directions]

NOTE: You MUST register HERE!  In addition to saying you are going to the meetup.

That's right! This year we've managed to get the same room as last year, but this time on a Saturday! We're hoping this will improve our food options, and allow for more after-socializing. Details on food, after-events, swag, t-shrits, and other cool stuff will published soon!

Registration is Now Open!

Attention all who'd like to give a SkeptiCamp talk!
Registration is now open for speakers and attendees! If you or someone you know has something science or skeptic related that they'd like to talk about please consider signing up to give a talk! The audience at SkeptiCamp events is friendly and safe, although discussion can usually be quite lively. If you want to know more about what it's like, or are looking for ideas, most of our previous SkeptiCamp DC talks are posted on our youtube channel.

The registration form is here, and will sign you up for our mailing list as well. If you are already on the mailing list, this form can be used to update your registration status (Are you attending? Would you like to speak?).

Congratulations, Reed Esau!

This year, at the Jame's Randi Educational Foundation's "The Amazing Meeting" in Las Vegas, Reed Esau, founder of SkeptiCamp, was awarded the "James Randi Award for Skepticism in the Public Interest" for his work promoting grasroots skepticism, in particular his work with the SkeptiCamp idea.

Congratulations, Reed!
We love the idea, and enjoy your support!
It was well deserved!

Still don't know what SkeptiCamp, is?

I was really looking forward to this, but now I will be out of town.

Sorry to hear that, Joe. I believe the talks will, eventually, end up on the web. I hope your brother is improving.
