Cafe Inquiry is our monthly casual get-together to meet people and discuss topics of science and humanism.
This month's discussion topic: What are the causes of social and political change?
What are the forces that promote or inhibit social and political change? When does it occur smoothly, and when turbulently? Do political revolutions matter, or is social evolution more important? What role do technology and economics play? If you wanted to induce social change, what would the best strategy be? Are there key linchpins (media, money, power, consciousness) to creating social change? Is change in social consciousness the cause, or merely a result, of social change?
No outside food or drink allowed. Free and open to the public.
