Nice to meet some new, smiling faces. I hope to see them again. :)

And, as usual, I have eleventy million things to look up, to see if I was misremembering them, taking them from an unreliable source, completely fabricated them, or (and this is vanishingly rarel) was right about them.

Not much advice. It's all very informal. Drop in when you like, leave when you like. If you look young, make sure to bring 2 pieces of ID, or the bar will kick you out. Otherwise, just realize we talk about things candidly. It might be a bit unusual (depending on your social circles) to outright disagree with, for example, someone's religious belief. Or to ask for evidence of something that people normally give a pass for (like "I felt it when my relative passed away"). That has been a bit disconcerting for some attendees in the past. But by and large, the people who show up enjoy themselves. I find it cathartic and always look forward to it.

This should be interesting. Any advice for new folks?

    Hi Sandra,
We'll more than likely have the whole basement room to ourselves, and half a dozen tables pushed together. Or just shout something about quantum healing, "atheism is a religion"or "Deepak Chopra said ____" and listen for the groans.

Hi ... this will be my first meet up with you guys ... just wondering how I'll know who you are ... or I could just ask everyone in the bar if they're a skeptic and see how that goes :)
