We'll be discussing "Sex and War: How Biology Explains Warfare and Terrorism and Offers a Path to a Safer World" by Malclm Potts and Thomas Hayden.

The deadline for RSVP is midnjght on Thursday, March 20. All those attending should have read the book.  Lunch at a closeby restaurant will follow for those interested in joining us.

My apologies to anyone who ordered the previously announced book with a similar title.  New procedures will be put in place to prevent this happening in the future- to be announced at our next meeting.

Beth has selected "The Age of American Unreason" by Susan Jacoby for our April meeting.  Order it now!

Please bring non-perishable food for Tampa Bay Harvest, our Tampa Bay Coalition of Reason food program.

I can collect any food that our members bring and deliver it to the appropriate location. I've had a little bit of an issue getting the books we're reading from Amazon with enough time left to read them thoroughly (or completely). Maybe we should announce the book selections two months in advance.

David as soon as I get the first book I will return it, no problem there, now I ordered the second one and it will take time so I have not started yet either , but I am still reading the last months book . So I think all is going to work out well. Now about the Tampa harvest I forgot to bring my bag to the sun coast humanists, so you are saying we can bring our items to the library?

Our newest book selection, Sex and War by Potts and Hayden, is fascinating and totally thought-provoking. I can't wait for the book share conversation. It offers a very viable theory of why we continually have gone to war throughout history.

I bought Sex and War by Potts and Hayden, when Parag first mentioned it, so no problem for me. A few people have expressed relief to me because the other book was boring, and they liked this one (Potts and Hayden) much more.
