View livestream of Bill Nye vs Ken Ham debate

  • Feb 4, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Is creation a viable model of origins in today’s modern, scientific era? Leading creation apologist and bestselling Christian author Ken Ham is joined at the Creation Museum by popular TV personality and evolution apologist Bill Nye.

Ham, a former science instructor who emigrated to the USA from Australia over 25 years ago, is joined by the popular children’s program personality Bill Nye “the Science Guy” for this first and only scheduled debate. Each man delivers what he believes is the best information currently available for his case. Each then has an opportunity for rebuttal and afterward answers questions submitted by the audience.

Let's get together for a group viewing of the livestream of this event.

Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share, and your choice of beverage.  Our featured main dishes will be bowtie pasta, and bean soup with ham.

(The event start time is set at 6:30 to allow time for people to arrive and assemble.  The debate itself starts at 7pm.  Address and directions will be provided to those who RSVP.)

    Thanks to everyone who attended.
I heard that there was at least one person who could not come because they did not receive the directions. Please note for all CFI events that are held at private homes, we only provide address details by email to those who RSVP. The message is sent through Meetup to the email address that they have associated with your account - if that address is invalid, or otherwise non-functional, I have no other way to reach you (unless you contact me directly to provide a valid email address).

Note that photos I took are private not public. (The address to the party was private after all). At this moment only Seanna and myself have the link and the photos. If someone would like their photo removed, let Seanna or me know. If you want the link to the photos, please ask Seanna.

Some folks were discussing flood myths at one point after the debate. Here's what I mentioned:

Fie! I think you, Louis, could provide some very entertaining observation and commentary! Oh, and we could place things in a political context. ;-)

I've heard that profits from this event are going to Ham's outfit. Are we paying to view this stream?

    January 22, 2014

    • Seanna

Viewing the livestream is free, though AiG is charging for tickets to the event, and also will be selling recordings.
