I hope this Tuesday morning finds you well and those who had a long weekend enjoyed their extra day off this week.
Don’t forget we have our bi-weekly Drinks, Appetizers and Networking event tomorrow at Bar Louie on Sand Lake Road in Dr Philips from 6pm so come down with a fistful of business cards and enjoy half priced appetizers and low price drinks during the first hour plus drink specials all night, while networking, hanging out and meeting new young, professional people in the Central Florida area.
I wanted to take a moment to also talk about the Citrus Club, Orlando’s premier private business club downtown. The Central Florida Young Professionals Group was recently invited to have ten guests attend one of the charity networking events at the club, sponsoring the local chapter of the Boys Town charity. The good news is that the night was a huge success and almost $2,000 was raised that night for the charity to help local families in need!
On the night, a reduced membership cost was offered as was sponsorship to join. I have been speaking with David Wood the Citrus Club’s Membership Director, who has said that for members of our group he will be able to extend this kind offer until the end of 2013, making now a great time to join – there is an initiation fee to join but this is significantly (read: hugely) reduced, as well as money-back credit towards food and beverages, making the idea of signing up very affordable and very enticing!
If you would like to join the club, have any questions or would like a tour to see whether it would be a good fit for you and your business, please call David Wood on[masked] or email him at [address removed]. Make sure to let him know you’re part of the Central Florida Young Professionals Group so you can take advantage of the deal (new members also need to be sponsored by an existing member which I’m happy to do).
I've been a member of the Citrus Club for a while now and it’s a really amazing place – both aesthetically and for networking and meeting new people and hanging out. There is a fantastic á la carte menu in the bar as well as the Hubbard Dining Room which served probably one of the nicest steaks I’ve ever eaten and is very affordable (the club is exclusive because of the restrictions on membership, definitely not because it’s overpriced). Located at the top of the BB&T building on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando it has unmatched views over the City, the Amway Center and the new Dr Philips Performing Arts Center. Membership comes with great perks frequently being offered and there is a fitness center available too.
If you've ever thought about joining or the idea appeals to you, I can’t stress enough how much of a good time this is to look into it – I've worked hard to get us all this opportunity so please make sure to take advantage of it while you can!
I hope to see you all at the Club as well as tomorrow night at Bar Louie.
