Dinner/Drinks @ Spotted Dog Carrboro: w/optional Comedy Show @ 8pm to follow

Many members of our group were signed up for the Snob-Free Wine in-home Valentine's event this Saturday, February 15th, which was post-poned due to weather... Let's not let the snow spoil our weekend plans. At the suggestion of our members, we've put together a "Last Minute" Meetup, for Saturday night.  Even if you weren't signed up for the other event, we'd love to see you for dinner, drinks, and/or the comedy show in Carrboro this Saturday evening.  Join us for any or all of the fun!

Here are the details:

Let's meet at The Spotted Dog, 111 East Main Street, Carrboro, NC

We will meet in the Bar Area for an informal get together dinner/drinks.  We will aim to meet at 6:00pm, but feel free to come anytime between 6 and 7:30pm.

For those wanting to go over to the Comedy Show, we will walk over to the Arts Center West in Carrboro at 300-G East Main Street, Carrboro for the NCCAF Comedy Show, Details below:

NCCAF Presents - The OverReactors, Red Letters, ICEBOX, The Spicy Girls NC Comedy Arts Festival Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EST) Carrboro, NC  - Tickets are $12.00

Click here for the link to buy your ticket: http://www.nccomedyarts.com/schedule/event/381/

**Tickets are $12.00, General Admission**

We have no idea if this will sell-out, You can buy your tickets ahead of time and simply provide your name and I.D. at the door.  We can all sit together as it is General Admission.

For those not wanting to attend the Comedy Show, you can just attend dinner, or vice-versa.

Hope to see you there. Thanks to all the suggestions from everyone in the group for these great ideas.

So Spotted Dog was a bit small for our group but was a great turnout and everyone agreed another venue for Comedy would be a good choice for the future. Thanks to everyone who joined us for fun times and some laughs.

Ok. So the comedy was more staged than 'improv' but still it was good to get out and try this. It was great to see everyone and hang out for awhile!!!

I am not familiar with the Spotted Dog. What is the parking situation?

    • Atul

Paige...alternately you can park in the lot right across the Century Center which is on Greensboro Street between Main Street and Weaver Street. I always park there. :-)

Thanks, Atul! I actually just changed my RSVP. Feeling lazy and got a dinner invite from a good friend who lives just 1/2 mile from me...

I wanted to try this place, so this is a great opportunity to try it and meet new people. I won't be able to get to the comedy club. See you tomorrow.

Another option after dinner is a swing dance at the Carrboro Century Center, which is just a block from the Spotted Dog.

I got my ticket for the comedy show on-line. Was really easy to do. You can send it to your mobile phone, print it, or show your ID at the door.

Hey guys sorry about the cxl for the V wine party but it was the (home) hosts call. Glad to see you are going to pull together and make a night of it anyway - would join you if I could. Still hope to see you on the 22nd! Enjoy!!

Thanks Jacqui. We totally understand. It would be tough to have people in the house with wet boots, etc. See you soon.

The comedy Arts Festival sounds fun to me and you're walking distance to lots of options later!

I'll go anywhere the group decides, but live music and steamed NC oysters sound very appealing.

Good idea! I don't know Chapel Hill or Durham very well so I can't really suggest anything. Just tell me where and I'll be there!

Comedy Arts Festival is still at the Arts Center in Carrboro. Let's go to that!! 8:00 show or 10:00 show. Looks pretty funny! Several acts: The OverReactors, Red Letters, ICEBOX. Lots of improve comedy to watch.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
