(Central Hampshire Entertainment, Activity, Recreational & Social group)

Hi, we’re a friendly meet-up group for active adults, living and working within central Hampshire and the surrounding area. If you’re new to the area, or just want to make some new friends and try out different activities, we could be the group for you.

CHEARS! friendly socialites are mainly in their 40's & 50's (we have no age restriction). We welcome friendly, active, positive and interesting participants from Hampshire as well as the bordering counties of Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey, and West Sussex.

With the support of our participants, events regularly include dinners, country walks, pub quizzes, picnics, live music, skittles evenings, coastal walks, comedy nights, cinema evenings, theatre trips, bowling nights, historic walks, pub socials, bbqs, day outings, weekends away ... the list is endless.

We charge an annual membership fee of £6 payable by PayPal when you apply to join the group and then annually in January each year. If you wish to join us please complete your profile and upload a clear facial photo so that our organisers can recognise you and welcome you to our events.

In order to join the group you then need to pay your £6 joining fee by PayPal to Chearswinchester@gmail.com and your membership wil then be approved.

Please don't worry about coming along to an event on your own - everyone does at first. We give everybody a very warm welcome and include you as a friend right from the start. We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon!
