Let's watch the experimental film by Terrence Malick "Tree of Life".

Director: Terrence Malick
Starring: Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, Jessica Chastain, Hunter McCracken, Laramie Eppler
Duration: 139 minutes

Summary: Growing up in the Midwest, Jack has always been torn between his mother's guidance to approach everything he encounters with an open heart and his father's advice to look after his own interests. Now, Jack reflects on his past to regain perspective.

Warning: People's review are drastically polarized about this film: Some people loved it; some said that it's a total waste of time. So come to watch this film at your own risk! :)

This is going to be a joint event between Chicagoland Independent & Documentary Films (CIDFilms) and Inner Metamorphosis University (IMU).

Please come on time. The film discussion will follow the discussion.

It was so nice to have many people and to share the discussion thereafter. There are some films out there, they are so unuasul that you simply don't em all by yourself. "Tree of Life" was one of them. "For those, I love to hear what everybody saw and puzzle all the pieces together. Come again!

Isn't there some lesson about not eating the Apples?

I saw this when it first came out. I'm not sure I'd call it experimental. It didn't blow me away, but it was beautiful to watch—as per Malick—and interesting.
