Our activities include backpacking, hiking, camping, bicycling, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, cross-sountry skiing and dog sleding. Founded in 1982, CIWC has over 150 members. CIWC is a non-profit volunteer-run club organized for the purpose of providing affordable wilderness adventures. Each year CIWC conducts trips ranging in length from one to ten days to destinations as diverse as southern Indiana, the Grand Canyon and the Smokey Mountains. We have trips for beginners and those with lots of outdoor experience. On a CIWC trip you will have the opportunity to explore new places and meet new friends. Our trips are small and friendly, averaging eight people per trip. Our membership includes members who vary widely in age, experience and ability.
Please see the club website, www.ciwclub.org for additional information and a link to join CIWC to ensure first notice of most upcoming trips.
