95% sure we can't come. Toddler has earache and husband has a half-built shed. Skunk cabbage is an old friend, so surprised to hear it grows here! We'll definitely have to pay Butano a spring visit sometime. Have fun and post photos!

I am OK with postponing this hike to another weekend day that has no rain in the forecast.

According to weather sites, the chance of rain on Saturday in Santa Cruz is 20%, 60%, 80%, 90% and 90% (five forecasts) with over a half inch of rain predicted. While this is wonderful news for flowers, it is less than ideal for people and photography. Could this be done on another date?

I will not be attending since I will be at the Desert Institute Flora of "Joshua Tree Park" 3-day class.

The New Leaf Westside store is at 1101 Fair Avenue in Santa Cruz. It's a block and a half off of Highway 1.

Call Deanna Giuliano about the carpooling location. If you are driving yourself, meet at the Butano State Park entrance.
