  • No book club June 13th.

For June 20th we will read Chapters 31 to the end of The Walking Drum, by L'Amour.  We will spend the last 30 minutes reading out-loud/in parts: Two Gentlemen of Verona, by William Shakespeare.

We will continue reading & discussing our way through the Top 100 Classic Books All Teenagers Should Read, found in Thomas Jefferson Education for Teens.

The study group is open to multiple-generations (junior high - grandparents).  We are very much looking forward to combining the ages while all discussing the same text!

What is the purpose of reading and discussing these books?
These classics are full of potent, "secret" information that has been used for centuries to run, move and impact the world.  Only a very small portion of the population of the world has read all these books - certainly less that 1%!  Knowledge of the greatest ideas and events is the starting point of a great education, and it is vital to leadership preparation.
