Those who visit 1ST TUESDAY come for a variety of reasons. Some look for political news, some want insights, other want to know what is happening "on the inside" and what may happen next, some want to know what Republicans are going to do to "kick the Donkeys in their A _ _ " and others like to ask questions of those who actually have a vote. As the guy with our vote on National Republican Committee - John helps shape the answers to all of these questions.
OH !! --- and just in case these are not enough reasons to entice you to come visit with John on Sept 7th... John is also the TN Republican Party's " Legal Eagle" when it comes to the politically explosive topic of REDISTRICTING.. For years our cry has been "Win the Pen in 2010" --- then we can redraw the line for Congress, the State House, and State Senate WITHOUT any input from the dreaded DEMs ! --- Well, John Ryder is our Party's legal expert on this critical issue -- and it will be John who leads our fight in court if [ or WHEN] the DEMs sue because they don't like the way WE draw the lines
[don't know about you, but I can't wait to hear the whining coming from the DEMs when the new lines become public should we "Win the Pen in 2010" and redraw the lines ! ]
As usual, we will meet at the Law Office of Waller Lansden - 511 Union Street -27th floor. Lunch from Alexander's Catering is $15 for members $20 for and is available at 11:30AM. I expect the crowd to be large, so plan to come by [or before] 11:30AM and come catch up with some friends you have not visited with in a while. Meeting starts promptly at NOON with our Q&A session to follow John's comments. Meeting ends at 1:00PM
