Many of you missed seeing them back in May, and I know some folks who attended really enjoyed their music. Here's another chance. This event is open to the public ... not a designated event for meetup folks. Grab a seat and a refreshing beverage.
Back From The Dead was years ahead of its time when it decided to infuse acoustic folk music with a tenor saxophone, flute, flugelhorn and tuba. The result is an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, blues, rock, country, and jazz. With traditional bluegrass and country, jazz, and symphonic backgrounds the group frequently breaks the rules of convention. They take songs from the likes of Tom Waits, Jerry Jeff Walker, John Prine, Riders In The Sky, Jerry Garcia, Canned Heat, and Louis Armstrong and add their own unique twist. They like telling stories about cowboys, horses, prisons, life and death.
