The Social About Social CRM

This location is shown only to members

Thursday, June 18th, 6:30pm–9:00pm

Join the editors of CRM magazine in SoHo, NY for a free roundtable discussion on integrating social media and CRM.

It’s a small wonder why social media has been one of the hottest topics to hit the CRM industry of late. Social media enables customers to express their feelings about a company, product, or service to a wide network of people. Companies have a better way to listen to what their customers are saying and social media gives those companies the tools to interact. This level of interaction can help organizations make better decisions about their customers, products, services, policies, procedures, etc., and improve customer loyalty and advocacy.

The following experts will participate in the roundtable discussion:

Lon Safko, co-author of Social Media Bible
Warren Sukernek, director of content marketing at Radian6
John Rourke, CEO of Bantam Networks

We’ll kick off the evening with a sneak-peak preview of Bantam Live, a Web-based social CRM service, launching publicly this summer. CEO John Rourke will discuss team collaboration within a social CRM system and the “real-time stream” for sales teams to collaborate and get work done.

After the roundtable discussion, schmooze with the editors, social media experts, and CRM practitioners over appetizers and drinks, sponsored by Bantam Networks.

This is an educational and casual networking event for professionals in sales, marketing, and customer service.

For a detailed look at social media and CRM, we’ll bring copies of the June issue of CRM magazine, featuring our special social media package, “Who Owns the Social Customer?”

What a wonderful exchange of ideas! Thanks so much to our three panelists Lon Safko, Warren Sukernek, and John Rourke for their passion and insight about social CRM. I hope to see everyone at our next meetup in July. Stay tuned for more details.

Great beginning! I would follow-up with each vendor after they've implemented their software on customer site.

Special thanks to John Rourke for hosting this Meetup and providing a great setting, pizza, and beverages -- and as a panelst with some really interesting insights on how to actually leverage social media for true business value. Also thanks to the other two panelists: Lon Safko, the co-author of Social Media Bible, and Warren Sukernek, director of content marketing at Radian6 for their thoughtful commentary and insights. Social media is a phenomenon we're all trying to figure out -- and these guys have really interesting perspectives.

Interesting insights to concepts that I frankly never even though about until this session.

I felt that this was just the beginning of an important conversation going in several directions -- collaborative selling; organizational behavior/management; account-based versus market-oriented analytics. Very cool.

I found the roundtable and presentation very informative. I learned a few things I can use.
  • Kathryn Russell
The energy and the intellectual exchange was remarkable. I learned a lot, and continued conversations I had begun with attendees in other forums. Thank you!
