Let's meet, eat and swap~! This will be a miscellaneous swap, plus a brunch potluck. Coffee and tofu scramble will be provided.
Bring whatever you would like to share! Vegetarian and vegan options will be present.
So, here's the deal: The first 30 minutes will be devoted to loading plates, catching up on the latest, etc. Then the old-style swap for clothing - each of us will go through our bag/box and show the group. The first person to 'call' an item gets it (no whiners!), if more than one person wants it they can either trade for it or try it on and the group votes who it looks better on. There will be a boy-stuff pile so go through their side of the closet too.
Clean out any clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry kids clothes, bedding, stuffed friends, books, cd's, dvd's, blu-ray, vinyl, magazines, books-on-cd (or tape), games, puzzles, towels, sheets, candle-sticks, dishes, cake pans, silver-ware, toaster-ovens, anything worth swapping. Be ready to part with everything you bring - all unswapped items will be lovingly donated to Springs Rescue Mission. We'll be bringing a few nice items left over from the group yard sale.
All genres, sizes, and seasons of all items are welcome, clothing should be unstained and/or ripped. Please be sure that any pairs have their mates, same with cd, dvd, etc. Burned cd's and dvd's are ok - just make sure they are clearly marked.
For the rest, there will be an area for books/media, household goods and toys.
There is no limit to how much you can bring, however you must bring at least one item to swap.
I'm pretty sure my kids will be here, we have plenty of playing room if you want to bring yours too.
Next swap is scheduled for the first weekend in September. Please contact Jen with any questions 719.352.9771.
