D&D 3.5 Group 4 every other Sunday 12-6 PM

Our meetup group keeps growing, now we had to add a 4th gaming group. This one plays on the Sundays opposite Group 1. This is a new campaign in a new world which Eric has created, so check with him for specifics on starting up characters. From what I remember, start a 2nd level character with max HP for both 1st and 2nd level, and max GP for 1st level + 200 GP for 2nd level. Like Group 1, this game is for good/neutral characters. See Group 1 for other similarities, but Eric has the last word.

OK, that helps a lot, that's what I thought, excellent. I'm hoping for a Group 4 game on Friday evening. That'll help me catch up for missing last Sunday.

You didn't miss much last session. We found a camp with a cave near it. Apparently werewolves were interested in something in the cave and it turned 2 of them to stone. There was a young dragon in one section of the cave, the other section we didn't explore. A company (70ish) of soldiers (enemy) came marching upon the area and to the cave looking for something. All in all we didn't end up attacking anything (Eric's attempt to see if we would get one of ourselves killed).

Ok just an fyi to all, My group is now going to be full with Aaron being the last one to join up since Paul can not make it and Tim has to sadly work. Gned might be able to join us if he does that is fine, Tim always has a spot at the table.

That should leave me with about 8 players I think? lol maybe 9 but I will have to double check this later after the original members rsvp for it.

Aaron you may want to look again at the Red Mage. I couldn't find much on the Previous life experience, but Jack of all trades requires 6th lvl.

LOL I love reading these things, Jeff should get extra XP for all of this :), anyways i'm going tosay it here now, group 4 is now closed, we have enough so if you haven't said you were coming then you can come to watch but thats it. I think aaron and Dustin were the last 2 to say they were coming besides the regulars I have.

Also Arcane casters can be played, it can be difficult in some areas yes, but it won't always be that way, so please if you want to play one go for it.

Secondly we do have another place we can play at, it's a school courtesy of Charles, but since we discussed it yesterday I do not want to mess anyone one up so it will be at the regular place tomorrow and then we will meet at the new place next meeting so we can hand out directions and things.

Group makeup as I remember it. Myself Okeanos (elf) Hunter, Charles' son (forget his name) Dragonborn Warrior, Charles don't remember, Ranger, Tim was a Paladin but is no longer attending atm, not sure what Andrew was playing, maybe a cleric. Bradley playing same fighter/scout as always. Someone was playing a gestalted character, again talk with Eric prior to making a gestalted character, since it was mentioned that gestalted characters may end up battling gestalted (or similarly powerful) foes.

Arcane classes, as mentioned in a post below are ill advised in this world. During our seize of the pirate ship I believe it was the captain that tried to cast an arcane spell and a shadowy figure teleported in, grabbed him and teleported away.

    • Jeff

Aaron I read up on that class...pretty nice. In an arcane friendly campaign that would be perfect to multiclass or gestalt with a wizard. If Eric allows the 'Open Minded' feat at first level to apply before the x4 bonus it may be a good route to take so you can boost your skills outside your knowledge checks.

      May 17, 2013

    • Aaron

If I can Gestalt with a Wizard that would be pretty friken awesome. If I can't? WELL I'll just straight Archivist to 11 and then go into Sacred Exorcist or Contemplative or the more appropriate (for the Scholarly type) Paragnostic apostles.

Thinking back, I could just play the classic Supercharged Theurge...

First off you have to describe what you did before becoming an adventurer, i.e., were you a farmer, merchant, sailor, fisherman, helped out with some family business etc. This doesn't need to be long and drawn out either. Everyone had started with zero wealth. We were all prisoners, so I don't know how this will effect new players. As far as LA, I assume no more than +2 but Eric would have to confirm that. Same with classes. Basics of campaign are we were sent to explore some new continent (think Columbus meets Lewis and Clark). On our way back we were captured by pirates and managed to escape/overthrow our captors and seized the ship. We reported back to the king and are now on our way to intervene in some war that has broken out.
