CSNYC Year-End Showcase

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all having a great week so far. Can't believe the school year is coming to an end and we wanted to conclude this year with a celebration! When we started this little community back in November, we were hoping for a tight knit and dedicated group of maybe 30 members. We are now 440 strong and we THANK YOU for your support. REMEMBER - Bring a teacher to the meetup and qualify to win DonorsChoose cards for you and your friend!

The June meetup (last one of this academic year) will be a showcase of online tools/resources for teachers and students and a showcase of student work!

Codecademy (http://www.codecademy.com/), TuvaLabs (https://www.tuvalabs.com/), Maker State (http://www.maker-state.com/), TaleBlazer (http://education.mit.edu/projects/taleblazer) and many many more will be present to show you the latest they have to offer.

We'd also like to include student projects from all across the city, so if you'd like to showcase your students' projects, please reach out! For chosen projects, students are welcomed to come!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Cheers,
Cindy

Thanks to all the hard work that the organizers of the CSNYC Meetup have put into making these meetups so successful. Socially and intellectually engaging and putting Computer Science -and it's related disciplines- and the educators who believe in all this stuff, on the map in NYC!

    Looking forward to the Meetup.

Here's a reminder that there are just a few spots left for the Logo Summer Institute, coming up June 23-27, 2014.

This annual workshop offers an immersion in constructionist technologies and programmable learning environments including Scratch, Arduino, 3D printing, TurtleArt, LEGO, and more.

Hey Bruce, thanks for reaching out :) We actually have 2 potential spaces. Just finalizing the details, but wanted everyone to have the date in their calendar. See you on the 18th!

I would love to be able to bring some of my middle school students to show their work, depending upon location.
