Karen Lawrence, who is a Commissioner for the London Sustainable Development Commission (LSDC), will talk you through the latest Quality of Life indicators for London and how the LSDC supports and inspires the Mayor of London to achieve the ambition of making London a global benchmark for sustainable cities, convening the collective efforts of the public, private and third sectors across London. Karen will also talk about the vital role that ‘London Leaders’ play to inspire social action on sustainability across London and to build the capacity for leadership on sustainability across London.

Following an initial career in the commercial functions of Shell UK and Kingfisher PLC, Karen has been working in the sustainable energy sector for 10 years. Apart from being a Commissioner for the LSDC, Karen is Director of Assurance, Marketing and Development at the Energy Saving Trust, a Trustee of Carbon Leapfrog, a Fellow of the RSA, an advisor to BASE London and a member of both the Institute of Directors and of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

After the talk and discussion there will also be the usual opportunity for networking. Kindly note that the venue has changed to the upstairs function room at the:

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
