FW: Peter Kalba Memorial Sunday Sept. 16 - Please forward - cod. USA 3Dear Backgammon fan,
I’m forwarding Bill Davis’ message to all my contacts in USA.
I’m really said for this loss in the Backgammon community and I think that one of the best comments (in FB) about him is Mike Corbett’s:
“Peter Kalba enriched the backgammon community with his charm and wit. In my memory I can still see his face clearly, shoulder slightly lowered and right hand extended as he reached to shake mine and look into my eyes. We were always glad to see each other. But he was happy to see everyone, and his joy at having so many, many good friends energized him and his playful sense of humor. He will be missed.”

Peter Kalba Memorial
Peter Kalba, cofounder of the Chicago Bar Point Club, 26 year staffer of the Midwest Backgammon Championships, Backgammon Cruise director, and International Calcutta backgammon auctioneer, died September 1 at his home in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was 64.
This is a sad occasion for the backgammon community, but also a time to celebrate the incredible joy that Peter brought to our game.
A memorial luncheon is planned for Peter Kalba to honor his memory.
