Project Open Sesame: Building an Raspberry Pi based Access System

Tue, 04/30/2013 - 7:00pm
Project Open Sesame: Building an Raspberry Pi based Access System - :

The collaboration continues on building an all encompassing security door system to be used at the hackerspace. We will invent, build and test our ideas. An additional hope to document our work as we go / and and publish it when we're done to help other spaces and groups with a new take on a security system.

Found this too late. Might there be another one scheduled? I might have two others interested.

I thought you guys were making it Arduino based. Did you run into issues?, lack of power?

We ran into I/O issues on the interface and decided that transitioning over to an Raspberry Pi would be better (or a hybrid of the two) the input output requirements would work on a Raspberry Pi, but we were really trying to keep it on in the arduino to start. We thought it may have more traction in the open source community as a Raspberry Pi as well. We will see, it is a work in progress
