I just arranged to list my condo for rental and thus need to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff in addition to clothing...So you might be able to grab some free craft supplies, household items or other treasures since I need to empty the place out.

How many of us have overloaded closets with items we no longer need, want or fit???
I've been going through mine and have a huge amount of clothing, shoes and accessories I'm planning on eliminating from my wardrobe. Much of it is business casual, though there's also a few dressy items. There's even a few items with the original price tags still attached. Since my lifestyle has changed, so has my everyday wardrobe.
At any rate, there's that old axiom about one person's trash being another person's treasure.
So I thought it might be an idea to have a hen party/clothing swap. After all, why not get yourself a new outfit or two or three for free???
So here's the deal. We'll gather at my place. I'm Unit "B" (Since it's also a pot luck, please bring your beverage of choice and a dish to share with you. The dish should be either a main dish, substantial side dish or appetizer or dessert...)
We'll assemble our clean and gently used or unworn clothing, shoes and accessories, sip a little wine or other beverage, taste the various contributions everyone brings and shop through each others' items. My guess is we'll wind up with a wide range of sizes and types of clothes, shoes, handbags, scarves, costume jewelry, belts, etc.
As to the leftovers, you can either take your contributions home again or leave them with me to donate to Goodwill.
Everyone needs to bring their beverage of choice and a dish to share!!! Please indicate what you're bringing in your comments when you RSVP....Nothing like a little fun, nourishment and shopping all put together...
