Connect-The-Tots serves the greater Lake Norman area. However, we've had playdates all over the Charlotte metro area, including Mooresville, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Concord, Gastonia, Monroe, Uptown, Pineville, etc. If you don’t live in Huntersville – that’s okay, not all of our members do. We welcome ALL children and their siblings, regardless of ability or any other factor and are an inclusive group. We also welcome grandmothers and other caregivers!
Connect-The-Tots is a group of fun, laid back, happy mamas that was actually founded in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2009. Its members, which include (but of course are not limited to) military moms and moms with traveling spouses - proposed they would start a Connect-The-Tots group in their new respective cities each time they moved in an effort to make a network of Connect-the-Tots moms nationwide. Connect-The-Tots in North Charlotte is the first "branch" of this network and it is headed up by me, Jama (pronounced Jay-muh).
I have one son, Andrew, who is four. We enjoy children's museums, nature centers, parks, zoos, and much more. We moved to Huntersville last year and so far, we are having fun exploring the area! When I first learned I'd be moving to Charlotte, I had a really difficult time finding meetup groups. I was not interested in joining a sorority or clique type group - my focus is on my child - not me! I want a true group of engaging but laid-back folks to hang out, swap stories and laugh with while our children play and learn. So I decided to start my own group :)
So - are you looking to meet other active, friendly, not-too-serious, open-minded moms of toddlers/preschoolers (older and younger siblings a bonus) for friendship, reassurance, stories, interaction and most of all FUN?

Your tots will love exposure to new places and experiences, playing indoors & out, and socializing with new friends! We welcome any mom and family who has the time to actively participate in our group.
We do require that you attend at least one event per month and host an event at least once every six months. Members are required to pay a one-time $10 joining fee and attend a meetup within 60 days of joining. This fund is used to pay Meetup.com's fee to keep the group website up and running.
If you or someone you know would like to sponsor our group, many families visit our site and could become customers.
