8CHO - Tango Takes Flight!

  • Jun 22, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Direct from Buenos Aires, tango rises to exhilarating new levels: 20 feet high to be exact. Set in a sultry Argentine nightspot, seven dancers perform solo, in pairs and as an ensemble, experimenting with speed and space to create surreal thrills. They leap, lunge, swirl and swivel in midair, on the walls -even upside down- infusing the familiar with the fantastical. With a six-piece orchestra and vocalist elevating the experience, 8CHO is a high-flying show that promises to raise tango to a new level.

And we have the following discount-ticket prices available: $30, $43, etc. After you've RSVP'd you'll learn about our promo code and how to purchase tickets. Buy yours soon!

As everyone else said, it was very enjoyable , but too short. You just started really enjoying various applications and anticipating the next venue and it was over. We all thought it was intermission, not finis. Obviously, it was a sensual performance, but also it had elements of whimsy which was delightful.

I love Tango! I found it original and beautiful, but it was very short. I really enjoyed meeting you all. A big thank you to G, you always make everyone feel welcome! :)

Tango is like Flamenco in that its a dance with lots of intensity. To take that and add acrobatics yet keep it passionate was truly amazing. Hats off to these talented performers. Amazing.

I enjoyed this show very much even though I felt it could've been longer. And I really enjoyed big time everyone's company at the Argentinean restaurant for our part two meetup, very cool cultured people!

Good question, Guillermo! Yes indeed, chances are we'll be heading out to a venue for drinks/food/chat after the show, but the venue is yet to be determined. Suggestions are very welcome.
