Jagten (The Hunt), another acclaimed film from Denmark, promises to satiate those of us with an appetite for outstanding cinema. Directed by Thomas Vinterberg and starring Mads Mikkelsen who won the Best Actor Award at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival for his role in this movie.

The story is set in a small Danish village around Christmas, and follows a man who becomes the target of mass hysteria after being accused of sexually assaulting a child.

How easy can your life and reputation be destroyed? Easy, and fast. especially if you work around a little girl named Klara with so much imagination! Lol The worst part of the situation is that once a reputation is damaged it will never be the same. I find the movie excellent! Thank you G, once again, and thank you to our group. We are very lucky to have such wonderful members.

OK! I AM A retard!!! I did not get the end!!! I still don't get what the significance was with the shot of the gun...and thought that the movie did not need that ending...but I absolutely LOVED KLARA...!!! just because she was soooo cute!!! hahaha...what a good little actress, right? Greatttt movie G. I do know the end because everyone explained the doubt factor, but i guess i just didn't like the ending......and yes, part II was also fun fun fun!!! looking forward to another weekend...week nights are difficult for me...unless you all want to come watch me dance at Miami City Ballet through the windows on 23rd street and Liberty...with everyone else that does!! hahaha on monday and wed nights!! last week we actually had a golf cart pull up and watch us dancing!!!! it was a riot!!!

The shot at the end was sort of symbolic in that even though time has passed since the incident and people have appeared to have moved on, he will still remain guilty in the court of public opinion. Someone had made the comparison to the Michael Jackson situation; even after all that time passed when he was found not guilty of being a child molester, most people still think he is one anyway regardless of what the outcome in court was (and I'm sure he received death threats throughout his life as well).

I loved it!!! i didn't understand the end though but people explained the doubt factor to me aligning with the theme of the movie/ which then made sense, but my personal taste, i didn't like the ending..loved the movie...love him, love Klara! what a great little actress, so beautiful of a girl!!! what eyes!!

Excellent pick G! The most intense I've seen this year. Mads Mikkelson is a great actor (and I love his features). Interesting characters from the head of the school to the "girlfriend". R.I.P. Fanny.

There is an up coming movie called 'Prisoners' with Paul Dano that is pretty much down the same lines, although possibly even more intense. See the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=....

I really enjoyed this movie, and the walk to the car in the rain was nice as well. LOL!

Outstanding film... Poignant, powerful, great story, performances... Another must-see Danish movie. Everyone should see it, including and specially so-called "journalists", those of us prone to judging others, those of us gullible enough to only learn one side of the story, those of us prone to jumping to conlusions, and the list goes on. Another thing that came to mind while watching the film was TV, it's mass hysteria galore 24/7. Anyway, I recommend this movie 100%. Last but not least, I had a nice time at our part 2 rendezvous, thank you Jeff for setting it up for the group, I enjoyed everyone's company ;)
