In the similar vein to other Cafe Scientifique forums, we will be inviting local researchers to share their passion with the general public in an informal setting. There will be no need for any scientific background to attend these events except a desire to learn and understand current issues from a scientific perspective. We usually meet in the upstairs room at Franklin House https://www.thefranklinhouse.ca/ in Streetsville over a drink and enjoy exceptional pub fare and more.  The venue is conducive to small - medium sized gatherings with an emphasis on interaction between the featured speaker(s) and the audience without defined boundaries.  

An introduction to the topic by the presenter limited to 10-15 minutes is followed by an interactive Q&A/discussion session. Length of the meeting is usually limited to 2 hours. Our meetings are usually in the third week of the month on an evening between Sunday and Wednesday. Watch this group for our upcoming events. 

We frequently feature faculty from University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus, but also hope to engage researchers from other institutions in Mississauga and neighboring communities.
