Reading Science Week: "Britain's­ Railway needs in the 21st Century"

Members of Basingstoke Cafe Scientifique are invited to the National Science & Engineering Week Great Debate. The debate is being organised as part of Reading Science Week and is titled "The great railway debate: How Britain’s railways need to change to meet the needs of the 21st century". This is a very topical subject with the current debate about the future of HS2 and other developments to the UKs rail network. Join this annual Great Debate, organised by the Engineering Institutions of the Thames Valley, to discuss how our historic railways impact on the demands of modern life.

The talk starts at 7.00pm at the Palmer Building at the University of Reading.
